Two sides of the Coin, The Laws of Attraction

The Laws of Attraction have two sides to it, one being good and the other bad. On the good side, if people believe good things will happen to them they will. That if someone believes hard enough that these things will come to them.
The other side is pretty much the same but concerns bad results to the fears in peoples minds, that if they think of it too much that it will happen. Most of this is purely circumstantial but there are a few things that mostly no one can argue with.
The positive side is something that for the most part won't happen no mater how much you believe unless you get up and work for it. If you buy a lottery ticket, or think you are going to lose weight without trying or if you are going to wake up with a brand new Corvette in your driveway then you are more than likely to be disappointed. On the other hand when you believe hard enough it can give you the motivation to get out here and work off those few pounds that you desperately want to shed or earn that extra money by getting a bonus at work for doing better or taking a second job.
The darker side of these laws basically say that if you fear it or believe it enough that it will happen. This is pretty much far from the truth as you can not simply summon a tornado or a hurricane by simply believing in it enough. Depending on the view these are things caused by either God or nature and not by the human mind. However, if you believe enough that you are going to get sick there is a very good chance that it may happen. Case in point, for every year at Easter my step-father would swear up and down that he would have a stroke despite him being a very healthy man. Some of his doctors believed that it was more of a case of mind over matter but they couldn't really officially say that as they were, in their words, not psychologist.
