The Law of Attraction Can Help

The Law of Attraction Helps, but is subtle. I am 63 years old and I have studied the Law of Attraction.
At first I thought it was just another scam like so many I have seen before. It seemed to me to be just another “feel good” way to get something for nothing. But as I continued to study it, it became obvious that there might be something to it.
Oh, not the basic promise of “think it and get it”. And for awhile, that is exactly what it sounded like. But as I studied it and started to practice it, I found that what was happening became almost what had been promised. And I will freely admit that this took months to happen and even longer than that for me to notice what was happening.
I started out wanting happiness and money, like most of the people that I knew. What I found was that when I paid attention to what I was asking for, it wasn't money and happiness. It was security and contentment. Just finding that out was a major step for me.
Then I started paying attention to what was happening around me. I discovered that I couldn’t just ask for or demand happiness. But I could become aware of the opportunities for happiness that happened around me everyday and I could become part of that happiness. I couldn’t just say I wanted lots of money and have it come to me. But I could become aware of what I already had and what I really needed. For me, it released me from worry about money and that was a fantastic feeling. For the first time in over 30 years, I wasn’t worried about money.
Then a strange thing happened. I didn’t get money by the handful. But I did start getting money that came in just as I wanted for a specific thing. And happiness and contentment became the norm for me, instead of just an occasional place I visited.
So, does it work? Well, not the way it was written. And I certainly do not believe that any thinking human calls disaster to themselves. But some of the tools help. Just be careful how much of yourself you want to invest in this study. It can consume you and distract you from the life around you.
