Reflecting Happiness

Happiness is best when I see it reflected in my day to day life. It reminds me that there is something I do right when I see others happy when I am with them.
I know I am happy and my heart is warm when someone is smiling because of something I have done for them. Even when people are not around me, if I am happy it is because of something I have done to receive this reflection in my surroundings. Work can be seen as a curse or a blessing, when I see it as the latter I am happier.
If I am outside in the rain and I curse it, my thoughts will cause the environment around me to reflect something other than happiness. If I instead feel the rain, and remind myself that this is what keeps us alive and a garden somewhere happy – then again what is reflected is happiness.
In my lifetime I have found that my happiness is directly related to how willing I am to search for and accept it. Happiness is not just something that “finds us” from time to time, instead it’s something we can have nearly direct control over - but we need to find it.
I challenge anyone who has a hard time with finding happiness to start forcing themselves to find a “good” in every “bad” in day to day life. While this is not the answer to everything, and we all will face those times that seem impossible to find any form of comfort in – I guarantee if you take this approach in day to day life and TRULY consider the positive along with the negative, you will become a happier person. Challenge yourself to find happiness, it really is out there!
When one breaks the chains of almost always seeing things in only a negative way, they can begin to see their world reflected in a different way. They stop seeing only the negative reflected, and peer into a world which reflects this new way they are feeling, which I hope will become the world of happiness.
Make the decision to become a happy person, it will make the truly difficult times much easier to deal with and keep life in the proper perspective. Change your attitude to one of positivity and happiness and happiness will begin to reflect itself in your life on a steady basis. It works for me. :)
