Limits to The Law of Attracktion -Realism and true magic ...

What is the most stunning thing about this debate, is that no one seems to state the simple fact: We are all going to physically die! Even Joe Vitale, Louise Hay and all the other firm believers in the Law of Attraction.

I guess no one doubts that. So - clearly there are limitations to the Law of Attraction. I guess it is not because they WANT to die, they will eventually do so, but because the Law of Attraction is just one of the many laws - or should I say "laws" - that set the premises for our lives.

So - get real! But that does not mean that magic will have no effect. I personally love the modest statement from one of the greatest occultists in the 20th century, Dion Fortune: A magician is one who increases his/her possibilities!. - That's a good one. Modest. And true. Realistic.

So forget about the unlimited power of your thoughts! Old age and death will prove you wrong.. See rather what you CAN do within the limits of the possible ...

I also would like to add a few more points:

Even if you are convinced you are the Messiah, that clearly won't attract you the Messiah-position. And that is NOT because of lack of belief that the Law of Attraction does not deliver you the messianic kingdom. Because people REALLY being convinced they are the Messiah - and there are many of them - most often will be committed to a psychiatric ward.

The same argument holds true also for becoming Emperor of China. And - in almost all cases - for becoming the President of the USA.

And if we flip the coin to the negative, it is the same: If you are totally convinced you are being watched by the CIA, that is NOT what you will attract by the law of Attraction. What most likely will happen though, is that you will be watched more closely by the local psychiatric ward. But that is NOT the same as the CIA.

Most hypochondriacs are not contracting their imagined terrible diseases - even if they are having a strong visualization of that specific disease for years. And most people afraid of flying, will NOT die in a plane-crash. And most people terrified of spiders, frightened for many years, will NOT die from a spider's bite ... and so on ...

So get real: Both with respect to negative and positive outcomes, there are strong limitations to what the Law of Attraction will ever deliver. And that is NOT because of lack of faith.
